This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their personal data is being collected and used online.
Personal data, as used in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and in information security generally, is any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data — information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.
Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your personal data in accordance with our website and services.
This policy applies to www.riseyourlight.com, our learning portal, our communities, our programmes and sessions, and all communications sent by Anchal Jain Bajaj, trading as Rise Your Light (“we”, “us”, “our”).
What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website, portal or app?
When ordering, enrolling, or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number, billing address, date of birth, country of residence, or other details to help you with your experience.
When you enrol into a programme, session, or course, we may additionally collect information about your goals, current life circumstances, and — where you choose to share it — information relating to your physical health, emotional state, mental wellbeing, and personal history.
We also collect technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, and pages visited on our site.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, enrol in a programme, book a clarity or consultation call, subscribe to a newsletter, join a masterclass or live session, participate in our community, fill out a form, submit an assignment or reflection, complete a survey or intake questionnaire, purchase a product, or otherwise enter information on our site.
Do we collect sensitive personal data?
Yes. Because of the nature of our work, you may choose to share information relating to your physical or mental health, emotional experiences, trauma history, relationships, pregnancy, or ongoing medical treatment. This is treated as sensitive personal data.
You are never obliged to share more than you are comfortable sharing. However, we ask that you disclose any significant physical or mental health condition, ongoing treatment, pregnancy, or history of trauma that may be relevant to your safe participation, so that we can hold the space responsibly.
Sensitive personal data is stored securely, is accessed strictly on a need-to-know basis by Anchal Jain Bajaj and, where necessary, a limited number of authorised team members bound by confidentiality obligations, and is never used for advertising or profiling.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, enrol, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or communication, browse the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
To deliver the programme, session, course, or product you have purchased.
To personalise your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and offerings in which you are most interested.
To hold the coaching and healing space safely, and to tailor guidance to what you have shared.
To improve our website and programmes in order to better serve you.
To send periodic emails and messages regarding your enrolment, schedule, joining links, assignments, or other products and services.
To process payments, issue invoices, and comply with tax and accounting obligations.
To respond to your queries, grievances, and support requests.
To comply with applicable law, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Do we record sessions?
Live group sessions, weekly community calls, and hot seat coaching may be recorded for the benefit of enrolled participants. By attending, you consent to being recorded.
If you do not wish to appear on a recording, you may keep your camera off and refrain from speaking, or you may request that your portion be edited out, subject to technical feasibility. Please write to us at support@riseyourlight.com.
Recordings are shared only with participants enrolled in that programme, and are never sold, published publicly, or used in advertising without your separate written consent.
One-to-one sessions are not recorded unless you expressly request it or separately consent.
How do we protect visitor information?
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.
We use regular malware scanning.
We use an SSL certificate. All pages on our site, including all pages where personal data is entered, are served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
We use an SSL certificate because we do collect personal data and, in some cases, sensitive personal data, and it must be transmitted securely.
Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to perform their role, and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
We do not store your full card, CVV, or banking credentials at any time.
Do we use ‘cookies’?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your cart. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services.
We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.
We use cookies to:
Understand and save your preferences for future visits.
Keep your session active while you are logged into the learning portal.
Compile aggregate analytics about how our site is used.
Measure the performance of our advertisements and campaigns.
You can choose to have your device warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled, and some of our services — including logging into the learning portal — may not function properly. However, you can still browse the site and place orders.
Third Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal data.
This does not include website hosting partners, learning platform providers, video conferencing providers, email and messaging service providers, payment gateways, and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential and process it only on our instructions.
We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ourselves, our participants, or the public. In particular, we may disclose limited information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent an imminent risk of serious harm to you or to another person.
Non-personally identifiable, aggregated visitor information may be provided to other parties for analytics, marketing, or other uses.
Some of our service providers may be located outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected to a comparable standard.
Third party links
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products, practitioners, or services on our website or within our programmes. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
How are payments processed?
All payments are processed by third party payment gateways. We do not store or have access to your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking passwords — this data is collected and processed directly by the gateway.
We retain only the transaction reference, the amount, the date, the payment method type, and the billing information necessary to issue an invoice and comply with tax law.
Your use of a payment gateway is subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
Advertising and analytics
We may use analytics and advertising tools, including Google Analytics and advertising platforms, to understand how our site is used and to measure the performance of our campaigns.
These third-party vendors may use first-party cookies and third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.
We do not use any information you have shared with us about your health, emotional state, or personal circumstances for advertising, retargeting, or audience building. Sensitive personal data is never passed to any advertising platform.
Opting out: You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page, or opt out permanently using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
How long do we keep your information?
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Enrolment and programme records are retained for the duration of your programme and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle queries, grievances, and certification verification.
Financial and tax records are retained for the period required under Indian tax law.
Sensitive personal data shared in the course of coaching or healing is retained only for as long as it is needed to serve you, and is deleted or anonymised on request, subject to our legal obligations.
When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a child is any individual below the age of eighteen (18) years.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, we do not market to children, and we do not undertake behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.
You may not register for, purchase, or participate in any programme offered by Rise Your Light if you are under 18, unless a specific offering is expressly stated to be open to minors and is availed with verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please write to support@riseyourlight.com.
Data breach notification
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Should a personal data breach occur, we will take the following responsive action:
We will notify affected users by email.
We will notify the Data Protection Board of India as required under applicable law.
We will do so without undue delay, and in any event within the timelines prescribed by law.
We also agree to the principle of individual redress, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law, and that individuals have recourse to a court or a government authority to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance.
Email, SMS and WhatsApp communications
We collect your email address and phone number in order to send you information relating to your enrolment, schedule, joining links, assignments, and support, and — where you have consented — information about new programmes, masterclasses, and offerings.
We agree to the following:
We will not sell, rent, or share your email address or phone number with any third party for their own marketing.
We will identify ourselves clearly in every message we send.
We will include an unsubscribe or opt-out mechanism in our marketing communications.
We will honour opt-out and unsubscribe requests promptly.
You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by replying “STOP” to a message, or by emailing support@riseyourlight.com, and we will promptly remove you from all marketing correspondence.
Please note that transactional and service messages relating to a programme you are actively enrolled in — such as joining links and schedule changes — will continue for the duration of that programme.
Confidentiality of coaching, healing and community
What you share in a one-to-one session, a hot seat, a written reflection, or a private community space is held in confidence by us.
We will not disclose, duplicate, or misuse such information during or after your participation, except (a) as required to deliver the service, (b) where you have given express written consent, (c) where disclosure is necessary to prevent an imminent risk of serious harm to you or another person, or (d) as required by law.
We may reference your journey in an anonymised or de-identified form — without name, photograph, handle, or identifying detail — for teaching or illustrative purposes. We will obtain your prior written consent before using your name, photograph, video, voice, designation, or social media handle in any promotional material.
Other participants are also bound by confidentiality obligations under our Terms & Conditions, and are not permitted to record, screenshot, forward, or publish anything you share within the community. However, we cannot guarantee the conduct of every participant, and you should share only what you are comfortable sharing in a group setting.
